Love Your Laugh

I have had so much fun playing with the Lulu and Roy Collection from Kaisercraft that I had to make another layout!

I just love the diversity of the colour palette. On this one I have picked out pink and apricot, with a little dash of grey to cool it down.

I used Glossy Accents on the letter stickers to give them some dimension.

There are so many gorgeous little diecuts in the 6 x 6 pad....perfect for finishing touches :)

I love the 'dictionary' paper...how sweet to do it in pink (there's a foiled version in the 6 x 6 pad!)

Thanks for popping in today,

Salt Love

I love it when we have a new sketch to play with at Sketchbook365!! This month's a real doozie, plus we were given BoBunny's new collections to play with!!

I got Zip-A-Dee-Doodle......I did a happy little dance when I opened the box...it is right up my street :)

With a fabulous palette of white, blue and green with a lot of black doodling it was the perfect way to start off my Cuba album :D

With the exception of some Glitter Glam 'Ocean Spray' (of course!), the twine around the 'lifebelt' the Studio Calico boat and the little red brad, everything has come from this beautiful BoBunny collection.

Thanks for popping in today. I really do hope that you play along with this sketch as I hear they have a new editor over at Sketchbook/Scrap365 ;)

A Year of 8ness

WARNING: photo heavy post as it's Mini Album time!! :D

Every year I create an album for my God-daughter documenting the fun things she has done in the previous 12 months. click here to see last year's

After rooting around my album drawer I came across a tag album....with 6 pockets....perfect one pocket for every two months :D

So let's get on with it as there are a lot of photos to get through!

I gessoed the front cover to tone the colour of the chipboard down a bit and then used a mask and Distress Inks (again!!! I know, but I love it!!)

Fancy Pants number, Spellbinders Die '@', Heidi Swapp glitter bow, Elle Studio tag

Some months have more photos than others......I am just given the photos on a memory stick :) I don't think it matters though. I have decorated all of the tags but I'm not sure that her Mummy will want me sharing all of her photos....so here are some close ups :)

a painted Craftwork Cards chipboard heart, Ali Edwards banner cut on the Silhouette

Pretty Little Studio Vintage card

This book paper butterfly was one of the gazillion I had to make when GD came for the day. I had put some into a kit for her and she had run out....So she did the die cutting and painting and I did the sticking and stamping!! I was allowed to have one :)

So that's another year done and dusted.....I can not believe she is 9 now...well 9 1/4 cos it's taken me forever to get this done LOL!!

Thanks for popping in today,

It's a Challenge!

We have this month's challenge up at Merly Impressions blog to use different photo sizes, other than 6 x 4.

Now for most of my crafty friends this will not phase you in the slightest as I know that you do already!! So, go on, get cracking :)

Here's my take with an Instagram photo (taken off FB)

Yummy Yummy Lulu and Roy collection used here. There are so many beautiful papers to use, so I layered them up! You will notice that I was so excited I couldn't be bothered to cut them square!! LOL

Just look at the finish on this paper....AMAZING!

Kaisercraft Background stamp.....lush!

Beautiful little detail stickers and, of course, Kaisercolour paint flicked in wild abandon!

I know I say it every month, but this collection really is a beaut :) I was lucky enough to be able to choose Lulu and Roy to play with and I think I made the perfect choice!! The colours are perfect for everything :)

Thanks for popping in today and don't forget to play along with us,

100% Boy......

....even if he does choose to wear his girl cousin's shades!!!!

There is a beaut of a sketch over at Life Paper Scrapbook this month, and this little photo of DGS was calling to be used :D

There is lots of fiddle farting around on this one....playing without thinking!! So here goes:

The chipboard glasses are from a collection I bought on sale by Farmhouse Paper Co (a new one to me!) A few MME stamps with Versamark Ink...uber bright!

You will have seen me mention my mate Lizzy many times here on my blog. She is queen of mess (in more ways than one!!!) and loves to play with various mediums. She has been using Gelatos for a while now and I love what she does with them. She sent me a pack for my birthday so that I could play too....yay!! Here I have mixed the red with some yellow paint and glass bead gel and then used it with a Crafters Workshop stencil. I am hooked so will just have to get the rest of the colours...it's only right, don't you think????

Another of my sale purchases was this transparency sheet from Hambly....love it! Another couple of MME stamps :)

Now this may not look that special to you but it is significant to me. This title was in a set that I bought 5 years ago!! It was a Cosmo Cricket kit from QVC and I bought 3 to make DGD's first year albums (I know people, this was in the very early days!!!) Anyway, I can remember thinking that I would never have a use for this embellie and gave the other 2 away but kept this one....here I am 5 years later using it for my boy :)

the background is a Heidi Swapp stencil and Color Shine (my favourite mists, by a mile!)

Here is the sketch that inspired it all:

Clip Clop Shoes

You know that I love to find new challenges from the world of blog...I honestly do not know how this one has escaped me before now!

Anyway, I was scooting around trying to find something to inspire me when I came across 1 2 3 Challenge Blog....it's fabulous! Sadly, it would appear that a lot of us have passed it by, as without more support it will be closing it's little blog doors in December.....so pop in and have a go!

Here is the challenge:

Erm, I know what you're thinking.....she doesn't do hot pink and flowers!! Let's think positively, I can do 'sweet' and it IS a challenge....so here we go!!!

Frenetic and mad....much like the little lady wearing the shoes!! I can not tell you how many times she has done the splits skidding around in these monstrosities on our wooden floor!

Pink, sweet and admittedly not so much floral but it is there in the stamps, the Prima flowers and on the shoes :D
