It's Craft Term!

I look after my grand-daughter, Ruby whilst her Mummy goes to work and as Eloise works in a school, half term is Mummy time so Mamma gets the week to herself :0)
March is a madly busy month for birthdays in our family so I thought I would share the cards I have been making.
I have also made some cards for the website but haven't got around to putting them on yet, maybe tomorrow!

First one is for Justin on the 2nd. I love this funky little monkey - he pops up again on the next card. You can't really tell on the photo but it is all layers, the leaves, then banana, monkey, arms and finally little banana has about 3 layers.

Next one is for my little treasure who is going to be two on the 4th, so what better than Noah's ark where the animals go in 2 by 2! A real labour of love cutting out all of those animals!

Then there is Dave (cousin in law) and Lily (Del's niece) on the 5th.

On the 13th is my eldest lovely girl. Eloise really liked the Webster's Pages when I was showing her my recent purchases so made her card with them.

The 15th is my buddy Kirstie, mad fashionista who works in the city and loves to be on trend!

I have also made one like this for Vix on the 18th but in purples. Finally although our youngest family member, Nellie Pea does not have a birthday till May I found these papers with pea pods and couldn't resist!

I have also been working hard on my Mexico scrapbook and will get round to taking photos when the bloomin rain stops. The lighting is rubbish!
Take care and happy half term x

Mothers Day Card

Saw this delightful little flower idea in a magazine. Layers of tissue paper dyed at the edges with distress ink. Wrap lace around a brad post and attach them all together. Fluff up the layers and voila! Super dooper. I think I shall be making quite a few of these little beauties!

Getting ready for the Guild

Dear all,

it's been a busy few days. It was Aimi's 23rd birthday yesterday so we had a small get together last night en famile and on Sunday we had extended family over for Jamie Oliver's slow roasted pork - if you haven't tried it, give it a bash it's delicious!
On top of that we have been decorating the hall stairs and landing but the lovely Del gave me a break from satinwooding the doors so I could make my first project for the Essex Guild (I am applying (again) to be a member)
Here it is;

a working clock with mini book

the engineering was a bit of a nightmare but I am delighted with the results. Papers are My Minds Eye - Spidersweb, as are the gold embellishments - Vintage Findings, flowers from IamRoses, the handles and hinges are 7 Gypsies and the keys and charms from a broken necklace of Aimi's!!

The mini book inside is made from Webster's Pages - Hollywood Vogue, just gorgeous. Hope you like it, and more importantly hope the guild do too!!

8" x 8" album

I was thrilled to see that somebody, somewhere has been looking at my blog! All I need now is a comment and my blogging world will be complete :0)

I am uploading some photos of an album I made a while back now, but having looked at them again I thought they were worth putting on here. It was made for a customer who wanted layouts for different sized photos. Her friend was getting married and she wanted to fill the album with photos of their group of friends throughout the years and then give it to her on her hen night. What a lovely idea.
