LGS Challenge #9 'You Are My Sunshine'

Hello,

I wonder how many layouts I have titled this - I must have a lot of sunny times in my life :0)

This week's challenge from LGS is a really interesting one: use white plus one colour. Now, I used yellow, which looks fab in real life but is not so great when being photographed with white!! Didn't think of that, duh!

I used the sketch from Let's Capture These Sketches - love it!

Here is my layout of DH at one of the coffee stops on our trip in the Sahara :0)

Alcohol Ink, Embossed heart 'Swiss Dots', scraps of OA and MME papers

MME and OA papers, homemade Washi tape, TH clock sticker, embossed star using a TH folder, grid stencil from That Special Touch Of Masks misted with Cosmic Shimmer Chalk 'Pastel Lemon', Prima corrugated shape inked with yellow chalk ink.

Prima stencil misted with Tattered Angels Chalkboard 'Firefly'

Journal card (from Pinterest) printed onto tissue, sun cut on Cricut

Had fun getting the old Stickles out and some drops of ink too!

another little banner - you getting bored with them?? I'm not!!!

Counterfeit Kit Challenge #2 'Glee' and 'Little Things'

Hello all and a happy Sunday to you!

Getting very near to the bottom of my kit and I will share my last layout with my April kit tomorrow. Today's layouts are using the challenge from the girlies at Counterfeit Kit to use mini photos.

The sketches I used are from this month's Scrap365 magazine, where they also had a brilliant tutorial on how to  change the look of your photos for free!!

So here is my take (the photos are quite dark but that's because I printed onto paper as I had run out of photo paper and couldn't wait!!!)

and some close ups:

American Crafts rosette, Cosmo stickers and Spellbinders dies. Love that Prima speckled stamp

Martha Stewart punch, homemade Washi tape (I have finally ordered the real deal!) MME stamp

more homemade Washi tape, American Crafts Thickers, MS alpha stamps

Prima stamp again and another MS punch

more homemade Washi tape!!!! Prima pebble with the 'pebble' removed!
This could also qualify for challenge #3 use Washi tape :0)

'Bathing Beauties'

Morning,

I have now made a start on my recent holiday album :0) I am doing a Project Life like album as there are sooo many photos!!! But I couldn't not do some 12 x 12's to dot in amongst the pages :0)

I used my Counterfeit as the colours are so happy and go so well with holiday pictures.

Here is DD#2 with DGD in the indoor pool (the outdoor one was big and beautiful but oh so cold! I was the only one 'man' enough to brave it, but then, I am the only one who is super passionate about swimming under the sky!)

Background misting with Tattered Angels Chalk mists. DP's are Glitz Designs and Pink Paislee

Alcohol inks and blending solution. GCD Studio epoxy sticker

OA stickers and die cut, misted canvas hearts. More homemade Washi Tape using Anna Griffin stamp

Layers of Loveliness - Anna Griffin style

Good morning,

more cards today. These two are for my Mum and Dad - one to say thank you for taking me to the spa yesterday and one for a birthday.

These are not my normal style but I was making them to my parents taste and actually I really like how they turned out :0)

Everything is from the Francesca collection - so beautiful but rarely used!!

Everything on this card is from the Willow collection. Loving that I am finally using things that have been sitting collecting dust!

My Minds Eye Challenge - use hexagons

Oh how I love MME!! I adore the colour palette they use, the weight of the paper, the patterns, the embellishments, the stamps..............everything!!!!

So, with all my recent purchases I thought I would start to give their challenges a go :0)

This month it is to use hexagons on your project. Sadly I have waited and waited for a little bit of sunshine to make my photos look true to colour, but no joy, so for those of you in the know you will understand that my layout is so much warmer and whiter in real life!!

DGD having a siesta on holiday in Turkey :0)

Homemade Washi Tape using the butterfly stamp

With the exception of the 'Dream' stamp, the buttons and adhesive pearls everything is MME 'Follow your Heart' and 'Miss Caroline'
