Another super duper sketch at Skissedilla....and another layout for DGD's album :0)

I pulled bits and bobs out of my CKC kit but because of that child's love of the colour that shall remain nameless I had to find different papers. Fortunately my new Glitz Design pad arrived in the nick of time!!

1/100 ....my new challenge! 'Favourite Moment'

I keep banging on about spending less and trying to use up stuff before I buy more and then I got a comment on one of my posts from Lisa at color me scrappy telling me that she is in the middle of a challenge.....create 100 layouts before you can buy anything else.....I love a challenge...so here goes!!

I am super excited to have found the time to play with my CKC kit and also my favourite of all sketch challenge blogs ScrapFriends :0)))

I am desperately trying to play catch up with DGD's yearly album so that I can start doing both grandchildren's albums consecutively ...... love that I get to do boy and girl pages now :0))

Here is the layout for January. We went away for my Mum's 70th birthday....she had lots of help with cards, presents and candles ;0)

Elle Studio tag, OA stickers, Scraptastic Kit Club stamps. The splatters are diluted Liquid Pearls...an experiment that worked ;0)

Whit Woo I have been published!!

Well to add to all the recent excitement I have received my copy of Scrap365 and a little gift....like seeing my layout in print wasn't the biggest scrapping present I have ever had in my life!!!

'Angelic' She Art

DD#1's bestie admired the She Art I made for Christmas and asked if she could have one for her birthday. Had I known what life was going to be like I would have said yeah in 2014!!

I am glad now that I had already said yes as it has given me a few hours away from the madness that surrounds me and has reminded me how important a little bit of me time is. No point in me crashing and burning, then where will they all be???? So I aim to have at least one evening a week in my haven...I may not always have time to share it on my blog but hey ho!!!

So, back to the art. Batts has been DD#1's best friend since they started play group at three. A truly lovely girl, DGD's Godmother and all round angel.....an idea was born!! The only brief I was given was it has to be ...... purple!!! Here we go again....LOL

Off to wrap and deliver it now....hope she likes it!!!

A couple of cards

I haven't had time to do any layouts recently but I have been able to spend a little time playing with paper as I have needed some cards. Here are a couple that I didn't have time to share.

The first one was for DD#1's birthday

MME The Sweetest Thing paper, various butterfly punches, jar cut on Silhouette and inked with Dreamweaver brushes, MME and Hero Arts stamps

The second one is for my Mum on Mother's Day, already been and gone over here.



Birds are cut from MME papers on the Silhouette as is the speech bubble

Wall Art for my boy :0)

Helloooo!!

As I said in my last post life is busy at the moment and a lot if it is being taken up with the refurbishment of DD#2's house.

At the moment I am finishing off the painting in the baby's room and as soon as the carpet is laid we will start getting his room in order. So I started thinking about bits to decorate his room with. DD#2 has already bought the woodland animal line from Ikea so it had to be muted earth colours.....I know....October Afternoon's 'Campfire'!!!!

You just can't go wrong with such adorable images :0) I have also used the rest of the paper to cover some 3D chipboard letters to spell out his name....so I think that was one collection well bought!!!

A little someone has been keeping me busy :0)

Hello, hello it's been forever ....at least it seems that way!!

I am popping in quickly to share my good news and a card that I whizzed up to celebrate our new arrival......my absoluteley gorgeous DGS!!!

I stamped and typed onto the white card, then ran it through an embossing folder. Stuck a star and a bow on, matted it and voila!! Super simple....but that's my style....just as well as time is precious at the mo ;0) Still if it's a choice between crafting and cuddles....cuddles win hands down!!!

CKC Kit for March

I am not expecting to have very much time to scrap this month but in case I get an odd hour I wanted to have  stuff to hand!

Counterfeit Kit Club always pick a fabulous kit to forge and this month is no exception, so I grabbed my cardstock colours first and the rest just followed ...erm quite a lot of it truth be told :0)

Still, this reminds me why I have no need to shop!! LOL
