Skissedilla #174 'Wrinkles'

Oh what a delicious place for inspiration Skissedilla truly is!!

I am delighted to have stumbled across these sketches and the DT are out of this world!!!

I had no choice but to find the time to play, and boy did I play!! Paint, Glimmer Glam and Ink were all over me, my desk and the floor by the time I had finished....there were quite a few attempts before I was happy to  go with this particular flow :0)

The photo is a recent one of me taken on a dog walk, i.e. not looking my best! When DH uploaded it onto the computer I was going to delete it as I didn't like all the wrinkles on show, but then I thought, actually this is how I look, live with it!!
I rarely scrap myself, unless I am with someone, so this is me wrinkles..ahem, excuse me.... laughter lines and all!!

I recently bought Pink Paislee's Vintage Vogue collection as it was on sale, now you know I hate purple, well on the flip side there are some fantastic prints - this is one of them :0)

Hmmm this hasn't come out brilliantly on the photo but it is the Colour Magic letters spelling 'wrinkles'

a darling little MME stamp and MS and TH butterflies

a couple of circle borders in different sizes cut on the Silhouette and another MME stamp plus some more Colour Magic numbers
and here is the sketchy loveliness that inspired me:

Just about got time to play, if you're quick!!

CSI #35 'Happiness'

Hello...again!!

So I manged to get some scrapping done yesterday afternoon and decided that as I had missed out on the last CSI Case File as a Special Invesigator I would at least get it finished and up in the gallery :0)

Another beauty I think you will agree:

and if you love it and want to play along you still have this weekend to get it done :0)

Here is my take:

BP is October Afternoon. Lots of different paints and inks on this one...the paper buckled quite a lot but I don't mind! I cut the white flower shape on the Silhouette

MME stamps ...you just can't go wrong!

Super old American Crafts Thickers

Just to show you what happens when the sun goes behind a cloud...where has all the colour gone??????
I had lots of fun dabbling around with bits and bobs...oh it's good to be back in my room :0)

Tunisia Memory File

Hello all,

it feels like ages since I was here as most of the posts recently have been scheduled. I haven't had as much time as I would like in my craft room and I am getting really frustrated as I have a zillion photos to scrap!
Because of time pressures I decided to throw another memory album together to record my holiday with DD#1 and DGD last month. It really was a week by the pool, so, as I didn't need to do much journaling this seemed the best option for bunching similar photos together :0)

There are a lot of photos on this post but as there are so many little bits I thought it might be fun to share them and give you some ideas :0)

I used two of Heidi Swapp's Memory Files and stuck them back to back. I then took a piece of  6"x12" cardstock, folded it in half and stitched it so that I had a flap on the back and front (I shaped the back piece and adhered it to the Memory File...sorry no photo!)
Unless stated all the papers are also from Heidi's Sugar Chic line.

I glittered a piece of a maya Road chipboard keyring

The front then flaps down to reveal a photo and my limited journaling!

Page 1: the photo on the left is stuck flat, on the right I have got 2 flip pages. The stamp is a Fiskars one coloured in with Pro Markers.

Page 2: On the right the photo is flat. On the left I have made a couple of pockets so that the photos can be pulled out. Behind that is another little mini book...see below. Stamps are MME, the bow and frill thing are both forged copies ;0)

This little book holds 3 photos, each page has been scored and glued at 1/2" to make the spine, with a little pull added.

There are 2 mini books on this page. The one on the left opens like a normal book and has been cut on the Silhouette. The one on the right is a flip book - the first two pages flip up and the third flips down to reveal the fourth page. Both of these books have got photos on both sides of the pages. Stamps are Basic Grey journal spot and MME sun. The plane is Studio Calico.

Page 4: This last page has a standard pocket and I have popped the rest of the photos into it, mainly because I was running out of ideas!! A PP rosette was stuck onto a lolly stick and the speech bubble was cut on the Silhouette.

I have managed to get 30 photos into this album but that could easily have been doubled...they are an amazing idea. I have now bought a wall mounted magazine rack from Ikea to accommodate my Memory Files as they are starting to become a mainstay in my crafting repertoire :0)

I am off to walk the dog now and hoping to get some 12 x 12 layouts done this afternoon...watch this space!!

'Sunshiny Day'

I haven't done a Scrap365 challenge or sketch for ages and I don't know why as I love them!!

So to put that right I have done a layout for their current sketch challenge:

and here is my take:

DGD in her rainbow paddling pool...we haven't had too many opportunities to use it this summer :0(

Title cut on the Silhouette (what else?!!)  Heart stamp is MME, button and sticker are OA. Washi tape is from an Etsy store.

Pesky WRMK gromlets...grrr!!! My masks of the moment inked with distress inks and flicked with water. Another MME stamp from the Hippy Chick collection. More OA stickers

More inking, OA, WRMK and MME.
Thanks for popping in today,

Summer Memory File

Whilst I will probably be doing an album dedicated to Italy and Tunisia as well as doing layouts of all the brilliant times we have had in the last couple of months, I thought it would be fun to put the highlights of our summer into a mini album. I LOVE the memory albums as they accommodate so many photos.

This time I used a Colour Magic one and kept the inside white with a little bit of stamping.

I used inks rather than mists to colour this one...I like the subtlety. The title was cut on the silhouette but I used the negative and matted it onto black. Those flowers are ancient, so although I don;t love them I am glad that I have used some of that stash :0)

A homemade Foto Stack using PP Spring Jubilee papers and a couple of page protectors all stitched together....can you believe there are 15 photos in there?? The word photo mat was cut on the Silhouette as was 'bright'. The beautiful bird stamp is from Pink Paislee

more Silhouette use! The matchbook mini was also made with Spring Jubilee papers and I have used it to journal about all that we did. The two photos of DGD and baby cousin are hinged so they flip up.

I glittered a chipboard bird and stuck it to a wooden skewer. The banner is made up from scraps of OA papers.

Happy times :0)
