'It's Written in the Stars'

G'day! There's another beaut of a challenge over at ScrapFriends (forgive my attempt at an Australian accent!)

This time it's a colour palette challenge....I am really into these at the moment!

I have scrapped another lo of DH in Italy, I am going to have to do some multi photo layouts or use some 4 x 6 pocket pages as there are far too many to go down the traditional route...thing is, I am totally loving doing my 12 x 12s these days :0)

Stamping, Mists, Silhouette and Die Cutting ....aka lots of fiddling about! BPs are Bazzill Fig Swirl and Studio Calico Tiny Chevron. I have stamped the Kaisercraft Number Background stamp in white. The photo has been mounted onto some textured kraft, PP Nantucket and Studio Calico Heyday.

Letters are American Crafts Remarks, the background on the banner is Kaisercraft and the sentiment is an old one, Cosmic Shimmer Chalk Ink, Studio Calico stars

Elle Studio Notes stamp, Teresa Collins star stamp

Here is the challenge and also the sketch that I used from ScrapFriends...told you I would be back for more ;0)

Thanks so much for popping in,

Ali x

  1. Love it. The fiddling about has paid off. I am of the camp "if it is worth making, it is worth making well. I have been meaning to try that 1/3. 2/3rd background too.

  2. I 'heart' this!!! You have used the colours soooo imaginatively! Looks fabulous....I did a card using stars today! Seriously, I did!!! That bg stamping is perfect, too - I find it really hard to find a decent white ink pad! All I can say, from this Land of Oz is 'Good onya mate' - this is a corker!!!! heehee:):) oh....and thank you for playing with us....LOVE having you joining in:):):)

  6. NOW I see why there isn't any like mother like daughter thing, she has it all from her dad! Ooh I really like the stars and the white background stamping, but just as Lizzy, I haven't found a decent white ink pad yet - what do you use? Beautiful colours against the muted background!! Love it, yes I do! xoxo
