New Family

I am backtracking a bit and finally catching up with DGS' life scrapbook, so although this photo is now five months old (where does the time go???) it has been sitting patiently waiting for the right moment to hit my desk!

I saw the CMS challenge #44, a beautiful colour palette, and knew that this was the time for this little photo to get scrapped! The twist in this challenge is to use fabric. A few weeks ago I spotted a leaf mulch sack whilst shopping....a very handy thing indeed....but not for gardening!! LOL

There is a little artistic license going on here as I did paint it cream, to go with the colour challenge, but the hessian sucked most of it up!!

The papers are Studio Calico, October Afternoon and my new Project Life ones :)

The 2 comes from Crate Paper's The Pier Ephemera pack. The heart stamp is American Crafts...the original Dear Lizzy!

Simple Stories stamps, American Crafts number button (it came squewiff!) Pink Paislee chipboard number...and the inevitable SC wood veneers :)

Here is the lovely soft colour palette:

Thanks for popping in today,

Ali x

  2. You have a knack for those little touches that finish off your layouts perfectly. Love the little hearts and the tag. xx
P.S. Homemade texture paste recipe - 1 part acrylic paint (whichever colour you need), 1 part talcum powder (Wilko's do a big tub), 1/2 part craft PVA (childrens section in The Range). Mix it all together and PLAY!! Will keep for weeks (8 so far) in an airtight container. Easy peasy! xx
