'Interested in You'

Hello all :0)

I am always on the look out for Scrapbooking sites in the UK and was delighted to find a blog affiliated to one of the  shops I use Sarah's Cards Ltd and even better they had a sketch challenge!!

So using my new kit from Scraptastic Kit Club that has a lot of Pink Paislee's Portfolio line I disappeared for a bit to have a play.

It's another layout for my Welsh album of DH taking a photo of me.... taking a photo of him :0)

papers are mostly PP with a little Crate and Glitz thrown in for good measure

Cosmo Cricket sticker, Crate Paper chippie heart and my bargain find in The Range...wooden numbers! painted and glimmer glammed :0)

glorious Studio Calico stars

totally forged PP tag :0)

my most favourite Ali Edwards stamp ....love the wording
here is the sketch that kicked off my inspiration:

you can see that I used the elements but just layered them up!

happy times....a Frosted Designs challenge :0)

I finally got around to sorting all my photos out for Project Italy, all neatly in their pockets in chronological order.....OCD Queen at her best!!

So whilst the 4 x 6ers will take a little time I thought I would whizz up another 12 x 12 of the hotel and make this my first page.

When I saw the challenge at FD this week is to use triangles I had to play along...they are definitely this season's must have!! In my own personal challenge not to buy any more stash (except for my monthly Scraptastic Kit) I made my 'stamp' out of Cut and Dry foam....works a treat :0)

BP is Studio Calico, from my kit, as are the OA circle tags. The stars are a die cut from a Glitz transparency, the chevrons are cut from another piece of SC paper and the word is courtesy of the ever present Silhouette!

paint, paint and paint on this one!

a little bit of mist never hurts :0)

I used white embossing paste on the bracket then dabbed a little paint on

It was so nice to do something with Frosted Design again....it's been a while....I won't leave it so long next time :0)

Thanks for popping in,

Frosted Designs #48 'View' and a fond farewell

It's my last challenge for the Frosted Designs DT.

I am sad to be leaving but looking forward to some new challenges. FD was the very first challenge site I ever came across and so will always hold a dear place in my heart :0)

This is a photo heavy post...be warned!!!

background paper is Glitz Design (I think!) and letters are DCWV from many moons ago

lots of layers of loveliness :0)

splats of ink and doodled hearts

the circle is from the tutorial I did for FD, the resin flower is an old Prima and the wooden flower has been striped with a Pro Marker

another oldie...Bo Bunny charm thing

a die cut piece of transparency, a misted canvas heart and a really old American Crafts resin doo dad

my journaling gets tucked behind the photo, you can also see some old Anna Griffin felt border strip
It wasn't until I wrote this that I realised how much of my old stash I had dug out! Oh how that makes my heart sing :0)

Here is the sketch from the lovely Karin that was my starting point:

Frosted Designs #46 'Hello You'

It's sketch time again at Frosted Designs!!

This was a bit of a rush job as having only just returned from holiday, then dashing away for DD#1's graduation, then going to a friends's wedding, I had to grab what was to hand and just go with it! I am really into orange at the moment....don't know why.....but what I do know is that once this layout was done I was really happy with the way it turned out...who needs hours when 30 minutes gets you this!!

This really came together thanks to Crate Paper stickers and K & Co rub ons! The circle is Distress Stain through a mask and then spritzed with Cosmic Shimmer Mist

I had already splatted this orange paper from Heidi Swapp 'No Limits' with white paint so didn't have to wait for paint to dry...hooray! The flower is an old Prima one. The journaling tag is from Anna Griffin.

What also helped with the speedy process was having another fabulous sketch from Karin to work with :0)

Thanks for popping in today, hope to see your take over at Frosted Designs....you have 2 weeks to get it done :0)

Frosted Designs #45 'Hugs and Kisses'

Hello,

got another of Karin's wonderful sketches over at Frosted Designs to play with today :0)

I had a great time messing about with paste, inks, mists and paint!! The overall effect is a lot 'busier' than I would normally go for, but as the sketch took up most of the page I tried to stay true to it, whilst sticking to my style (ish)

The photo is of my youngest cousin and me in 1983. I didn't have as close a bond with this little dot as I did with her brothers and sisters, a. because I was in my late teens when she was born and was out and about all the time and b. I had DD#1 when she was only 4.....hard to believe 2 years after this photo I was a Mummy...I am but a child myself!!!!

As the years have gone by she and I have become really close and having just returned from a 6 month trip around the world I can not wait to give her lots of hugs and kisses :0)

Papers are American Crafts - the old Dear Lizzy line.

The yellow circle is a Prima mask painted, misted and flicked with ink. American Crafts brad

A wooden flower inked, another of my punched tags and a super old Basic Grey chipboard heart and button! More paint flicking and messing about :0)

Pearl embossing paste and acrylic paint through a mask and then I inked through a dotty mask.

Title was cut on the Silhouette....don't know about you but I can't stop using mine these days...they have such brilliant weekly bargains!!! Final little flourish was the blue pearls.

Thanks so much to Karin for providing us with this little beauty to play with:

and thanks to you for popping in today :0)

Frosted Designs Sketch #44 'Sprout a Little Smile'

Hello,

time for the last FD sketch in June (where did that month go?) and it's a cracker!!

I am down to the last few pieces of my CKC kit now and this is my YELLOW page. Lovely photos of my Dad and DGD doing some planting in the Spring.....as well as Basil giving a helping paw!!

Paper is from Crate Paper 'Neighbourhood' , the stamps are from Pink Paislee. My forged MME bird and inked Prima canvas letters.

My journalling is tucked behind the photo

The green splodges are Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam dropped and blown with a straw :0)

Here is the lovely sketch from Karin - unusual huh? Love that it could be a 2 pager, A4 landcape, whatever you fancy!

Thanks for popping in,

Frosted Designs Sketch #43 'R'

Hello,

how time flies! It is time for another lovely sketch over at Frosted Designs :0) I liked this one so much it's the second layout I have done with it! Once again my trusty CKC kit has been put to good use - there is even a tag from my May kit that didn't get used (waste not, want not!) This is my BLUE page.

This one is of DGD climbing the slide at one of our local parks. I can't remember what had caught her attention but I love the wistful look on her face :0)

white card - not that you would know from the photo, lol. My handmade black mist splatted and 'dropped' with a dropper from a face serum that is used up - is there nothing that can't be put to a crafty use????

Stickers from Crate Paper and OA

the chipboard letters that I am determined to use and a close up of the tag from my May kit

an American Crafts rub on and a chevron cut from some Bazzill Basics dp and some Tattered Angels Glitter Glam

and the lovely sketch from Andrea that I just adore :0)

Thanks so much for popping in,

Frosted Designs Sketch #42 'Mother's Day'

Hello,

it's sketch time over at Frosted Designs and if I am honest when I first saw this sketch I panicked!! It's not that it isn't a great sketch from Eli (it is) it's just that my style is to have lots of white space and at first look I thought this just so wasn't me. Sometimes you just have to not 'over think' and instead of just seeing you have to look (does this make sense to anyone except for me???? lol) I think I was having a bit of a duh moment because once I remembered a sketch is a starting point I was away!!

The photo is of me and my girls on Mother's Day (March in the UK) 5 more days and I get my camera back, woo hoo!!! Sorry for the pictures of my layout - this camera does not like white!!!

My CKC has finally run out and so I have added some of PP Nantucket papers to my kit to pad it out till the end of the month.

Cosmic Shimmer mists and That Perfect Touch Dot mask and Prima stencil

Spellbinders die, K and Co rub ons

Heidi Swapp butterfly, OA flash card

Here is Eli's lovely sketch that I got to grips with in the end :)

Frosted Designs Sketch #41 'Today'

Hello,

another layout for Project Holiday using the fabulous sketch over at Frosted Designs. This time it is of me!!! Taken by DH on a day trip to Hammamet 'old town' :0)

Papers are all MME as are the stamps and brad!!!

This tag has been painted, stamped, sanded, painted again, crackled and finally I got the look I was going for!!

don't you just love MME??? Even the smallest detail is sublime :0)

Here is the lovely sketch from Eli that got the whole process going:

do go and check out what the other girlies did with it and be inspired :0)

Frosted Designs #40 'Bus Ride'

Good morning and happy sketch day!!

I had a lot of fun with this sketch from Andrea, the photos brought back lots of memories of the longest bus ride in the world so I just kind of went with the flow and here is the result:

I used my April Counterfeit Kit again - just loving this one!! The colours are perfect for holiday photos (even the crappy ones!)

The arrow stamp is from My Minds Eye

The bus was cut from Cricut Paper Dolls cartridge
The Coredinations Whitewash card was embossed with a Sizzix folder and sanded. The ticket stamp is an old one and has been overstamped with more MME stamps

More stamped tickets (wish I could tell you where they are from!)

The inspiration behind all of this was Andrea's sketch:

so hop on over to Frosted Designs and give it a go :0)
